Relationship Between Knowledge and Creativity
Knowledge can either stunt or stimulate one's creativity. When we don't trust our creativity, knowledge can be overwhelming and restrictive, making it more difficult to think freely during our creative process. It can make our thoughts and desires feel walled in with other people's ideas and rules, rather than our own, and that is why it is important to trust your creativity. When we trust this intuition, we can break down those walls and use our knowledge to be innovative and create something new. Instead of feeling restricted, we feel inspired to push existing ideas even further. Creativity provokes us to ask questions rather than just accept things as they are. We can then make connections between different ideas and use that knowledge to create something that is different improved, and unique to ourselves.
